Hey all and welcome. My name's Brittany and like many other's I'm hopelessly addicted to equines.
By the way, equines are horses. I've been riding them since I was about 2 or 3. I got my first pony when I was 5 and my grandma
taught me basic western riding leading me around. I learned basic horse care, like mucking, feeding, grooming, and bonding
with my bratty little miniature horse, Jose. Then I started taking lessons at a stable when I was 9. I started jumping
at 10. Through those lessons I rode about 15-20 different horses. This really rounded me out at a rider. I took lessons with
them for about 5 years. For Christmas/13th birthday/8th grade graduation I got my first horse. It took me about 2 years to
find her, but I did. She was quite a piece of work, but with awesome trainers and hard work, she is awesome. Now I show her
in open shows, and I'm training her to show low rated Hunters. I also have another horse that I bought from my grandma about
3 years ago, Princess, I'm making her into a gymkhana pony. I also take care of my little cousin Brenna's horse Dudey, I train
him to be a lesson horse and we work on mainly mixing Western and English gaits, so beginers can feel confident on him. I
also work at a barn where I give lessons and train horses and ponies for them. They plan to get a new horse and do eventing,
so hopefully it will be a nice horse, and I can train it, I've never done eventing, and I really want to!!
Not much to say here.
